The Fear Crew. I'm front and center.

Hey everyone,

September 2021, we finally did it! This TicketTote journey has been unusual and filled with emotional moments, but v1.0 is finally here.

The road to 2021 started in 2007 when I was just a young event planner with a development background, helping to create a site called Diyobo. I was both a developer and one of the very first customers of Diyobo, not realizing I would become the owner in 2017.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention my friend and Diyobo's first owner, Steve Schaffer, who we tragically lost to an illness in 2017 after a valiant fight. Steve's one direction to me when I took over the company was to build the site he only dreamed he could have. I plan on fulfilling that promise with the release of TicketTote and all future versions.

As an event planner, I have hosted over 500 events from small, bar shows to large 18,000 person concerts. The exciting world of event planning has always been a part of my life. I started as a DJ at school dances which quickly became asking my parents for money to place a deposit on the neighbourhood legion. After that, I ran and sold a record label: I produced events with Big Pun, Kanye West, Krewella, Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, Justin Trudeau, Stephen Harper, Nina Sky, Belly, Bryan Adams, and many more.

Ultimately, marketing and development became my passion and I now run one major event each year called Fear. It's a fun passion project for Halloween that scares the soul out of many in Winnipeg, MB, Canada.

Since I'm an event planner by trade, I understand the unique challenges that many of you confront. I know the pain of disorganization, promoter management, getting access to the proper data, payouts, and all other aspects of the industry. Each feature we release is a group effort amongst many event planners.

I look forward to working with you and thousands of other event planners in the coming years. I'm truly excited about the future of event marketing and ticketing. Just save a ticket for me!
